Music in the Attic

In 1950, following the experiment with the movie short Tim and Teddy, Ivo Caprino began filming Music in the Attic. This movie was the first Norwegian colour film in the 35-mm cinema format, and is 8 minutes long.

Once again, Ivo's mother, Ingeborg Gude Folkestad, modelled the puppets, and the collaboration with Bjarne Sandemose - a man of many talents, was already in place.

Twin child actors, Lars and Lotte, took the lead roles in the movie where the Sandman spirits them away into a musical fantasy land, where the instruments come alive and even play advanced jazz. Gunnar Sønstevold wrote the music.
