The 13 main films in the DVD edition have all been completely digitally remastered. Never before have they been presented with such stability, sharpness and depth of colour. Every single scene in the films has been manually adapted for the new widescreen TV format, and a selection of them have actually been manually and artistically enhanced to prevent loss of image information.

The sound has also undergone a radical transformation. For the first time ever, the films can be experienced in stereo and Dolby Digital 5.1. Because of their potential historical interest, the films' original soundtracks have also been preserved.

In addition to these familiar and cherished titles we bring you a delightful film called "Music in the Attic". This is an enchanting musical fantasy tale about Lars and Lotte, who, with the Sandman's help, take part in strange adventures in their father's old attic. Here, the old instruments actually come to life and the children are taken to the concert hall where we get to attend a very special concert.

This film, produced in 1950, was Norway's first 35mm colour film. For a long time, it was feared that the colours had faded for good, but, in association with the Norwegian Film Institute, the film has now been rescued and can again be seen in colour.
